Pet care experience
Hi! My name is Jaci (pronounced Jay-see); I’ve had cats in my home on and off my entire life, and I’ve regularly cared for friends’ and coworkers’ dogs of all shapes and sizes (from a high energy Belgian Malinois to a frisky husky to two small yippy yorkies). Although I’m currently pet-less, I do regularly foster cats through Cape Ann Animal Aid!
Reviews
Jaci was wonderful to our cats. She has great communication skills.
As a dog and cat mom who is very particular about who watches my animals, I trust Jaci unconditionally. I have three dogs and three cats who range from old to young, have a wide variety of needs, and medical requirements. Jaci even cares for the occasional foster animal we have in own home. She follows instructions about medicine, food, and various other things to the letter and is not afraid to ask questions. Additionally, and most importantly, she treats my kids like they are her own, providing them with all of the cuddles, play time, and walks they could possibly desire. Even though Jaci no longer lives in the same state as me, she flew half way across the country to watch my animals and house for a week so I could go on vacation!
Jaci watched my cat, Kokomo, for about a week. Jaci is a cat lover and Kokomo had plenty of attention and play time and head pats. Jaci sent picture updates and texted daily. Kokomo is friendly but sometimes fussy but I knew she would be in good hands. I would love to use Jaci again.

I live in a cat friendly building in a one bedroom unit. No smoking of any kind is allowed and there are no other pets or people to stress your furbaby out! I have enough room to keep more than one cat if you like to have them in duos like my family always did. I have lots of plants, so if you think your feline will cause trouble, I can lock the plants in the bedroom for the duration of the stay! I’m very flexible when going into your home to care for you pets - I know some thrive on routine, so I’ll do my best to maintain it while you’re gone (detailed instructions are always appreciated). I’ll do my best to make it seem like I was never there, and I always leave a place better than I find it. I’m okay with quick stopovers for feeding or walking or letting out, or longer stays to offer some companionship for friendlier clients. I am always available to answer your questions or provide tons of photos to reassure you while you’re gone!
Information Jaci Z. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if any your pet has special needs or behavioral issues. I know everyone wants to think their furbaby is perfect, but it’s important to me to know if you have a reactive dog so I can keep everyone safe and happy. My favorite Belgian Malinois is wonderfully behaved but would prefer to stay far away from men and children, so I always help her do that because I know!
A typical day
I can cater my activities to your pet - if they are high energy and could use a little run or long walk, I can do that. If they love nature, there are several nearby trails I’d love to explore. If you have a small friend or perhaps a retiree, I can always do just a slow jaunt around the block.

Availability
Unfortunately I don’t get to enjoy the work-from-home life, so PLEASE BE AWARE THAT IF YOU ARE REQUESTING DOG HOUSE SITTING OR CARE AND THEY CANNOT GO AN 8HR SHIFT WITHOUT A BATHROOM BREAK, we are not a good fit. I work a rotating schedule (6a-2p one week, 1p-9p the next week) and about one weekend a month. This gives me plenty of time at home versus a 9-5 with several hours of commuting traffic. It also means I’m available at some odd hours to help you keep your schedule.
