Pet care experience
Hello! My name is Izzy, and I can’t wait to meet your dog! Growing up, I had a cat named Zoey, a black lab named Silly, and now my mom has three bully mixes (who she fondly refers to as coconut retrievers) who she adopted in the Virgin Islands! Their names are Alex, Sammi, and Leo. Though I grew up around dogs, I haven’t had my own as an adult (yet!), but I have over 5 years of experience with dogs from all ages, and breeds. In addition to growing up with pets, I also take care of several friend’s pups in the city when they go on vacation, and I did lots of dog sitting in college. I am comfortable providing care from puppies through senior dogs who may need a little extra care!

Izzy was so great with my dog pepper! She watched her for over a week and Pepper just LOVES her. She was also great at sending photos and videos of pepper when I was gone. I highly recommend her!

I currently work from home and have lots of flexibility to take care of your pup! I make my own schedule, so I’m happy to fit your dog’s existing routine into my week! I am an early riser, and I do leave the house about 4 times per week to go to work out classes, but can be back within 2 hours max. Otherwise I am always happy to bring dogs to outdoor activities and during the week, and I can be home to hang out with them, aside from small errands (grocery shopping, dry cleaning, etc.). I am so excited to hear from you!

A typical day
I love to take dogs on long walks and visit new dog parks. I also love to take them to any dog friendly outdoor spots in Brooklyn! I am a pretty early riser so I can take dogs out in the morning for a nice long walk starting at around 7 am, and then go home do breakfast together, work from home (during which I'm flexible to take them out to pee), I like to take dogs for a second longer walk or dog park visit around 4-5 and then take them home for dinner. I usually go to workout classes at around 6-7 pm, then I'll take them out again before bed!! Then Rinse + Repeat :).

Availability
My apartment is spacious and pet friendly, and I am here to love your dog just as much as you. I allow dogs on my bed and sofa with me as long as they are well trained, and I have a few blankets especially for them. My apartment is just 2 blocks from multiple dog parks / runs and from Brooklyn bridge park and the Brooklyn Heights Promenade. I absolutely love to explore different parks and outdoor destinations with a pup friend. Pups chill, go for walks in the neighborhood, meet some of my friends, eat, and snuggle on blankets, beds, and sofas. I’ve hosted a cavapoo, golden retriever, french bulldog, American cocker spaniel, and a boykin spaniel :).
