Hello, my name is Iwona (Yvonne). I am mom to 3 beautiful daughters. I was born in Poland and for as long as I can remember I was always surrounded by a furry baby. When I was 10 my parents got me a little mixed breed dogI named her Dot. She literally became my doll. I would dress her in dolls clothes and put her in the doll carriage. She didn’t complain at all. Me and my friends spent hours playing with her during our walks. Then came that day when I had no choice but leave her with my best friend because me and my brother and my parents were escaping Poland. I was devastated and heartbroken and so was Dot. It was soothing - a little that my aunt and uncle took care of her until she crossed the rainbow bridge. My next fur baby was a handsome German shepherd. He was a rescue and his name was Chaka. He was always by my side. We would study together and go for a daily jog together. I had to train him to match his pace to mine. At the beginning he had a pattern… he would run really fast and stop by each available tree, pulling me behind. Then came Mr and Mrs Chow Chow…. Bear and Blossom, adorable Love Birds and I rescued 5 cats - all at the same time. My heart was filled with happiness and joy. Birds were singing or fighting and then snuggling, cats were chilling or snuggling with me. Blossom LOVED water and she would sit on every sprinkler during our walks to the utmost disgust of Bear. We fostered a pair of Australian shepherds for almost a year. Timbit and Lily were so much fun to watch. He definitely wanted to dominate her but she was a witty girl. On walks Timbit always wanted to be the first one. Sometimes I would take only Lily for a walk just to be with her alone.
