Pet care experience
I am 26 years old with a master's degree in wildlife from Humboldt State University in northern California. I now live in McFarland where I work as a research scientist for the Department of Natural Resources. I was born and raised in Indiana, where I got my Bachelor's degree in wildlife at Purdue University. I have a dog of my own that is 5 years old, and two cats. I have had dogs and cats my entire life and have always cared for them, in all stages of life, from puppy/kitten to geriatric, requiring special care and medication. While my official certification in pet first aid has expired, I have completed training for CPR and first aid. I have spent time pet sitting for friends as many dog lovers do, but I enjoy meeting new pups! I was even in the 4H dog club as a child, training my dogs in obedience and agility. If I am doing house visits or walking I am always willing to bring my dog along, if your dog(s) like(s) to make new friends.

Ivy is awesome! She was really easy to get in contact with, flexible, and great with our dogs. Her dog Cooper is really sweet and seems like the kind of pup that gets along with everyone. I'd recommend Ivy to anyone!
Ivy was wonderful!! Both of my cats instantly bonded with her and even Dana who's always a little scared of everyone was friendly by the end of our first meeting. I got updates from her regularly and while the pets were happy to see us when we got home, everyone seemed calm and well cared for. I would absolutely recommend!
Ivy did a great job with our dog Misha, who suffers from separation anxiety. She responded promptly to my query, communicated quickly throughout, and had a nice calm, grounded manner with Misha. She took him to the beach and texted me a photo of him in "play pose." He was happy and not frantic or anxious when we came home, a sure sign that he felt safe, comfortable and well cared for with Ivy. Highly recommended!
