Pet care experience
I am located in Buckhead close to I-75, and I have always loved animals. At age 5 I wanted to be a Veterinarian or a Park Ranger. In High School I decided I wanted to understand living things on the most basic level and instead got my M.S. degree in Molecular Biology and Microbiology, but I have always had pets as well. I would love to take care of your canine family member while you are away! Although my HOA has decided (sadly) to forbid residents from dog boarding, I am happy to come to your place once a day or 5 times a day, whatever you feel is best for you and your pets. I have experience with large dogs, with cats and with exotic small animals as well.

Bella loves staying at ivy’s!
Ivy has a great setup by the dog park and kids who love dogs. I felt so comfortable leaving my dog with such great care
Let's see where do I begin. ..some background, we have a boy and a girl pup that we left with this sitter for the first time. The girl is epileptic and takes several medications, including one that is solely to be used after a seizure. We left very explicit instructions about how and when to administer the medicine and the sitter confirmed they were comfortable with it. The sitter described themselves as staying home all day, which we appreciated given the girl's condition. She also had a young dog of her own which we thought our pups would enjoy playing with. Here's where the complaints start. We didn't receive any calls or messages during the first day although we asked for updates. When we called for an update we found out they had been fed at 3 PM instead of their scheduled time at 5 because the sitter left the house and wouldn't be back in time. One of the main reasons we chose her was because she claimed to be home all day, which isn't true; there's a difference between being home all day and just not having a job to go to. We got a text shortly after that call with pictures... with the flash on (don't forget one of the dogs is epileptic). When we returned to pick up our pups the sitter was not home once again and we had to wait for her to return. When she arrived she told us the epileptic pup had two seizures during the stay....which would have been a meaningful notification while we were out of town. Further, she chose not to administer the seizure medicine because she didn't think the seizures were bad enough. This is after the explicit instructions that, in the event of a seizure, the pills were to immediately be administered and every 8 hours thereafter. I'm sure the flash photography had nothing to do with the seizures occurring (sarcasm intended). Our little girl comes bouncing in only to see she has several deep bite marks on her face and head where she was obviously attacked. This review is 7 days after the fact and the scabs still haven't healed. When we got her home she was very aggressive with her brother and very defensive. A week later and she's still not acting normal. She's very timid around him and gets scared with even a small amount of horseplay. Finally, the instructions were to administer the medicine with a little bit of peanut butter, and we provided a new can of PB for the dogs. When we got home the jar was 1/3 gone after 2 1/2 days. I didn't realize how subjective "a little bit" is. Worth mentioning, when we picked up the dogs the house was a mess and there were empty bottles and cans on shin-high tables where the pups could get into it and possibly get hurt or choke. One star. Totally irresponsible. If your dog is your family do not trust this person to take care of him or her the way you would.
Ivy was a great dog sitter, and my Samantha came home tired and happy! Would absolutely recommend :)
