Experienced Dedicated Dog Obsessed
Pet care experience
I have been in love with dogs all my life. I had my first taste of working in this industry while I was employed with VIP Petcare which is a mobile wellness clinic. Here I learned a lot about feline and canine psychology (including how to read and properly react to the animal's body language), administering vaccines, proper animal restraint, heartworm and parasite prevention, dietary needs, and even how to draw for blood samples. I also had the pleasure to work with and pick the brains of many accomplished Veterinarians during clinic hours. I joined Rover in hopes to increase my experience and build a clientele while I'm in the process of receiving my Canine Training Certification. My goal is to focus my passion and skills so I am able assist any dog owner with learning how to effectively communicate with their dog, ultimately creating the perfect relationship between man and man's best friend. My dog is a reactive one so I have experience dealing with difficult to handle pups. My cat is senior and suffers from hyperthyroidism so I also have experience in special needs situations and can assist with medication administration. I will be in the process of also getting my Canine CPR Certification and will always be looking to further my education in this field of study.

Information Ivy Rose B. would like to know about your pet
I have zero breed discrimination. I do not believe that a dog's true nature can be determined by its breed. I require proof of all animals vaccination history. Potty training is not required, I am more than happy to assist in any training excluding aggression. I am unable to accommodate aggressive dogs as I do not yet have enough training in that area to feel confident enough to work with and handle an aggressive animal. I will need to be aware of any allergies, medications, and any medical conditions including OCD and separation anxiety.
A typical day
Destination and activities will always depend on the individual animal. Based on information gathered from you (the owner) including your pet's likes and dislikes as well as their ability to socialize, I will determine whether exercise is spent at the dog park or on walks. If your pup is a hiker I am definitely down to find a trail and wear them out! I frequent the Ft. Thomas Dog Park due to his size and beautiful wooded scenery. I also like to go out to Sharon Woods on occasion and walk the trails out there. Devu Park is another one of my favorite walking spots. Always looking for more though!
