Pet care experience
I volunteered with the Oregon Humane Society for 5 years, all through middle school and half of high school. This included dog walking, behavioral classes, socializing, maintaining cleanliness of kennels, and interaction with small animals such as rabbits and mice. I currently work as a vet assistant at an animal hospital in NE Portland. I can administer medications, bathe, trim nails, wound care, etc. I have had animals my whole life. Whether it be an iguana, hamster, parakeet, fish, or cats and dogs, I love them all. My newest dog addition to the family just turned 2, she’s blind, but full of life and teaches me new things every day. I have 3 dogs here at home. I always look forward to seeing animals enjoying themselves in nature. It seems like such a blissful life; to be care free. Walking your cat or dog, or even your lizard would be the highlight of any day. I look forward to the future with this app! Have a good one and take care. :)

Ivy is great with our dogs. She has been raising her own dog since she was a puppy who has been blind since birth. She knew this puppy would need some extra TLC being a special needs dog, but she's done such an amazing job with her that when people meet Bindi they have no idea she's even blind at first glance! She's an adventurous little pup and inspirational to say the least. Ivy volunteered at the Oregon Humane Society for over 5 years where she had a wide variety of animals to take care of and through her experiences has gained the knowledge and compassion to care for all types of animals and breeds no matter their background. Ivy is also currently working at a veterinary clinic taking care of the kennels and caring for the animals that are boarded there. She's very intune with the health and the needs of all the animals in her care, as well as dealing with behavioral issues in some animals and using positive reinforcement for good behavior.

My home has a fairly big fenced back yard with trees and bushes for your pet to pee on. There’s a huge fenced in field that’s only a 5 minute walk away as well. I have cared for my friends and family’s homes, as well as their animals at the same time. It’s the best feeling when you know that an animal is comfortable with its surroundings, and that is a big goal of mine when I care for others pets.

It is definitely a plus to know if they are reactive, what their favorite treat is, and also are they up to date on vaccines.
A typical day
My dogs favorite park is John Luby right next to a school, it’s covered with trees and has a forest like feel to it. It’s perfect for rainy and sunny days. It even has a playground if your pet enjoys that! I love to bring treats with me on walks to encourage and practice recall. I prefer my dogs to be off leash, as they have way more fun. Pets on leash also love to go new directions and smell every inch of the park, so I have no problem at all letting them do so and I pride myself in having patience.

Availability
I’m working part-time as of now, so my schedule is fairly flexible. I don’t mind waking up early or staying up late to care for the ones that you love. I will love them as if they are my own.
