Pet care experience
I joined Rover.com to provide great dog care at an affordable rate, giving pet parents and visitors to Washington, DC a place that is safe and convenient for their doggy daycare and boarding needs. I also love to offer young, high-energy and active pups lots of fun on runs, hikes, play time, and plenty of belly rubs. These dogs need plenty of opportunities to run, jump and play. Doggy daycare and overnight boarding with me is designed to meet the needs of your dog by creating an environment that is comfortable, secure and the next best thing to being at home. If you have a young, high-energy and active pup, in my care, s/he will have lots of fun on runs, hikes, play time, and plenty of belly rubs. Your dog will have plenty of opportunities to run, jump and play. When your dog is with me, expect regular updates about all the fun we are having together, and you are always welcome to contact me with any questions or concerns. I was a little disappointed with the lack of responsiveness / communication that occurred during our time away. There were a few details as far as adhering to jujus medication schedule that were missed which were actually fairly important. I expected her to be watched and cared for for three full days not a day and half.
First time using Rover and I would definitely recommend Ivory! She took great care of my very energetic husky!
Ivory took excellent care of my cat while I was away for the holiday. She provided lovely photos of my pet. I came home to a happy and well cared for pet. I would definitely use her again!

Every dog has their own personality, preferences, and needs. Please tell me all about your dog so I can deliver the best possible care! Fill me in on Schedules, routines, medical needs, socialization, training cues, anxieties, behavioral quirks, energy level, play style, and anything else you feel I should know! Also, at this time, I am only able to accommodate house-trained (e.g. they know where to go, they do not bark excessively, they do not have destructive behaviors) dogs. I understand if you're still working on these issues but please understand that I am unable to accommodate a dog that is not yet house-trained. Thank you.
A typical day
When your dog arrives, we'll start with a long walk and then return home to get to know the new space. Most days will begin with a long walk, run or hike depending upon their preference and need for activity. I am usually home during the day so I'll offer plenty of opportunities for your dog to take a break and socialize every 3-4 hours. Before the sun sets, we'll take another long walk/run/hike. Throughout the day, we'll follow your established meal schedule. I live steps away from Rock Creek Park so dogs will have access to hiking trails, streams and plenty of bark!
