Pet care experience
I've had pets all my life, from fish, birds, guinea pigs, and hamsters, to cats and dogs. In 2015, I worked for an institute in Brazil that works for the rescue, rehab, and release of wild animals, so animals of all kinds are a melody in my life. I've worked for 3 years as a pet sitter and house-sitter for families that have come to be some of the loveliest friends. I accommodate both the humans and the pets. I work to understand the body language of your pet.

Itzel was great about keeping us updated while we were away. Judging by the photos she sent us each time she visited, our kitty was happy to have her as his sitter!
Itzel-Marine is a true animal lover. She combines a caring warmth and approaches animals at their own pace. She matches my exuberant dog’s greetings with enthusiasm, spoiling her with pets, zoomie-filled play dates and home-made treats. With her own cat, she has a quiet, gentle approach. She has trained her to do tricks and to be very well socialized. I would recommend Itzel to both dog and cat parents, outgoing or timid.
Itzel cared for my 6 month old puppy flawlessly! She kept the peace between the puppy and my two adult cats while also ensuring the puppy had ample time to do her business. I would recommend itzel for all dog walking and dog care to anyone!

I like to know about any allergies or tendencies the pet may have that could put them at risk. For puppies and kittens, I will stay with them side by side and ensure they don't try to eat something not good for them. I like to know about the space they stay in, the roads nearby, or any neighborhood pets I should watch out for. Counters and surfaces will stay clear of any risks, and pets will be watched closely on walks for possible skunk and porcupine encounters.

A typical day
Fresh air, sunshine, and shaking out those furry paws; snuggle time, crazy time, or eating time-- you name it, I'll be there. Whatever energy levels or accommodations your pets may need, I am happy to provide: If it's a chance to work out that excess energy, we'll walk/run/play it out; if it's some soothing and calm energy they need, I'll bring down the tempo and create a safe and affectionate environment for your pet. I like to invent games with the pets and learn all about their favorite toys and pee-mail spots. I pay attention to your pet's daily needs and body language and will adjust accordingly. No typical day here!

Availability
I am a professional documentary filmmaker and Registered Maine Guide. I spend part-time filming, part-time dog walking, and part-time sea kayak guiding. My schedule has big openings and flexibility. If you have big adventures to go on and your buddy can't come with you, I am here to keep them calm and cared for.
