Pet care experience
I am a life-sciences professional looking for extra work after being impacted by the recent layoffs season. I have experience in caring for small to large sized dogs. I also have experience in administering oral medications, as well as basic grooming including brushing, bathing, dental care, and ear cleaning (not including nail clipping). I also worked at a doggie daycare in the Brookline Area for 1.5 years. In the past I've owned two Chihuahua mixes that I trained in basic commands myself. I also have spent a lot of time caring for a German Shepard, as well as two Blue Heeler / Beagle mixes. In my experience, my favorite part about getting to know new pets through pet sitting and walking is the personality differences I encounter. Pets can be sassy, eager to please, skiddish and everything in between. I've found that I really enjoy (and have a knack for) finding out the best way to interact with pets based on their personality. I look forward to meeting you and your pets!

Isis is an amazing human being and very attentive and kind pet sitter! She went above and beyond to ensure my pups comfortably and happiness while I was away on vacation for 4 days. She treated my pup like her very own, maybe even better 😂 He was taken on many walks, given many treats, attended to any other issues and well taken care of through the day and night. I will absolutely hire Isis again! Pumpkin definitely has a friend with Isis! Isis is was also extremely communicative with me, sending updates, concerns, and sharing pictures with me while away! I felt sooo at ease knowing Pumpkin was in her caring hands! 10/10 recommend!

Isis is awesome. She look care of my twin pups Luke and Leia for a few weeks before my family moved. I was nervous at first because they were untrained and super hyper but Isis has infinite patience and understanding of a dogs nature and she handled them like a kind parent. I always felt at ease knowing my pups were with Isis. She followed my rules and behavior requirements and she made sure they kept the schedule I set for them. I couldn’t have asked for such a great pet sitter. Isis gets two thumbs up from me and my highest recommendations. Go with Isis and you’ll be set!

I would like to know if there are any behavioral issues that I should be aware of, as well as what I can do to make your dog as comfortable as possible!
A typical day
If your home is close enough, I enjoy a good walk near Wollaston Beach - a spot that I think your dog will love too! If your home is too far, I would try to find any local grassy, park-like spaces that allow leashed dogs. Other than walking, I like to play games with pets I've sat for in the past, and I would do the same with yours. For higher energy dogs, we could play hide and seek, fetch, tag, and practice basic tricks like sitting or picking things up. For more relaxed dogs, belly rubs and grooming, as well as "enrichment" -- food puzzles to keep pups thinking -- would be on the itinerary!

I am currently between jobs, so I can be fairly flexible! Most of my availability is after 11am, but I am more than willing to make early mornings work with a good amount of notice.
