Isabelle watched our dogs for 7 days while staying at our house. She watched our 8-year old Shepard mix and a 1 year Great Pyrenees mix. The area in our house (kitchen and dining area, living room with hardwood floor) where the dogs usually stay was covered in dried urine and it must have been there for days because there was yellowish dust all over the kitchen furniture that smelled like urine. The dogs must have roamed in the dried urine and it got into the air as dust. Both smelled strongly like urine. We had the house cleaned by professionals and I mopped twice with bleach to get the stains and the smell off. Our neighbors confirmed that they never saw the dogs in the backyard where they usually do their business when not on a walk. I can only assume that they did not get out enough and the urine was not cleaned. Both dogs have not had accidents in the house since they were puppies. The 1-year old was considerably thinner than when we left and the amount of dog food missing was in no way adequate for 7 days. He also had chewed the fur off his tail. Overall, we had a very bad experience and looking back I worry about the safety and well-being of our dogs. This borders on neglect. I would not write this review if I wasn't angry and upset. Isabelle should not dog-sit at people's houses like this.
