I took care of my parents' 6 dogs growing up. I would have conversations with the dogs (not that they would ever talk back), we would play with their toys, they would get lots of livings, and lastly I would open the blinds a little bit at the bottom so they could watch the birds and the squirrels outside. If they were feeling sick or hurting I would hand feed them or bring their water to them. I play the cello so it was always funny when one of the dogs would howl when I played a high note and sometimes they would curl up in my cello case and take a nap. Some of them even wanted to follow me out to the garage can whenever I had to take out the trash!
