4 pups and a girl

Pet care experience

In 2010, my family and I adopted our first puppy and my first best friend, a purebred labor doodle named Brownie. He was 3 months old at the time and weighed about 20 lbs when we first got him. He would grow to full size in at about a year, weighing close to 70+ lbs. He grew up to a good boy full of love and joy and his favorite pastime activities were playing play hide-and-seek and tanning in the sun. After 12 long and amazing years, he passed away in October of 2022 from old age. In 2011, we rescued an 11 month old puppy, Lucy, from the Anti-Cruelty Society. She is a labor doodle mix weighing about 50 lbs. She displayed signs of past trauma and neglect from her previous family and we knew gaining her trust would not come easy. No matter how long the journey was ahead of us, we aimed every single day to provide her a safe and comfortable environment and through hard work, patience, trust and lots of hugs, she has come a long way from the pup she once was. Now 13 years later, she is a happy girl full of smiles and kisses. She enjoys being pet and burped after meals and loves a good belly rub. In 2015, while on a visit to Pet Smart with Brownie, my father came across a miniature pincher/basenji puppy (weighing about 15+ lbs at the time) that had been abandoned in front of the store. He was no more than 4 months at the time, but due to Pet Smart's policy, they refused to take him in. So, we decided to give Brownie and Lucy a brother and called him Boomer. He is now 9 years old and absolutely enjoys eating his favorite treats and being around family. He favorite time of the year is summer! In 2021, we adopted a 2 month old rat terrier puppy named Mo (weighing 15 lbs). Thanks to boxes and boxes of pee-pee pads and , he has learned to go potty outside and is even picking up new tricks like sit and paw. He is now 3 years old and the life of the party, he loves quality time with his toys. Thanks to the last 14 years of being a dog owner, I don't mind watching any dog, no matter how old, young, big or small. I have extensive experience in feeding, walking, playing, and even grooming practices such as giving baths, haircuts, teeth brushing, and hair brushing. I am also experienced in both puppy and senior care, as well as post-surgery care (changing bandages, administering medicines, etc). I love having furry friends in my life and am grateful for the years I've gotten to spend with them.
