Pet care experience
I have been in animal rescue for over 25 years. I have fostered an adopted out over 250 dogs and cats. Currently I am the proud mother of 5 rescued fur babies (4 dogs & 1 cat). all my pups love other dogs and love to play or just lounge around. We have plenty of toys to share! We enjoy going to dog parks, but also have enough things to do in the house to keep your pups busy. We may not have a very large yard, but it's very secure and there's plenty of dog beds to sunbathe on! My cat tolerates dogs well, but has her hiding places when she doesn't trust new dogs. We within a few blocks of Old Colorado City and less than 5 miles from Manitou Springs. Perfect location for tourists travelling with their fur kids!

I needed a Rover sitter at the last minute for my 80# puppy and Bella was super accommodating!  She responded promptly to messages and we arranged for a drop off the next day.  There were several dogs at her house but she organized a meet n greet to make sure my big pup would get along with everyone and I knew right away he was in good hands!  Her backyard is deck and stone so the dogs were able to play ALL day and not get filthy--which was a bonus!  She sent pics and updates to let me know Ringo was happy and well looked after. I will definitely book with Bella again soon.
Gunner had a blast staying for 4 days with Isabella and her dogs! She took great care of him and he played nonstop the whole time. Definitely would use her again!
Isabel worked so well with us! We had some crazy scheduling issues and so appreciated her being flexible. She loved on our doggies so well, and they were well cared for! She sent us some pictures while we were gone which was meaningful as well. Overall, we’d highly recommend her for watching your fur balls!
My dog fell in love with Isabel the moment he saw her. I should be a little jealous, really. She's dogsat for me several times, and Ezra comes home happy and exhausted every time. She knows so much about dog behavior, too - Ezra is better socialized with every visit. She has become such a resource for me about dog behavior and socialization. I cannot recommend her enough - she would care for your dog like it was her own.

Dogs must be well behaved and spayed and neutered. Must play well with other dogs, and tolerate cats. My cat has great hiding places so the dogs don't have to be that best with cats unless staying more than one night.
A typical day
Depending on how many dogs are in the house, we would be happy to go to one of the many dog parks in the area. If your dog requires a midday walk while here, we can always take a stroll down to OCC.
