Despite writing "puppy" at the top of my Christmas list every year of my childhood, my parents (who both often traveled) never granted my wish. Instead, I sought my fur fix elsewhere and in high school became our neighborhood's go-to dog sitter, starting with my aunt's two ornery dachshunds and working my way up. Since then, I've spent lots of time volunteering at humane societies and taking care of friends' furry loved ones. As my roommate and I provide a home for a timid kitty, I'm unable to host dogs in my space, but I'd love to spend quality time with your pets on their own home turf while you're away — and when you're in town, I'm around to help with walks or drop-in visits. Since I work from home most days, I can accommodate your busy schedule and give your dog extra attention. Your four-legged family member will not only be safe but having fun in whatever way is best for them. I've worked with senior dogs, eased the fears of more timid types and those with separation anxiety, and administered time-sensitive medication and treatment to dogs with particular health needs.
