I have been around dogs since before I can remember. I have shared responsibility for caring for a golden retriever for just under 10 years. I currently have two rescue dogs. One is a terrier mix who is about 30 pounds named Nala and my other dog, Ollie, is a black lab/mastiff mix who is 106 pounds. My family has also been a volunteer socialization family for Guiding Eyes for the Blind where we foster multiple puppies at a time and help to train and socialize them. My family and I have been doing this a few times a year for the past 10 years. I have always loved spending time with dogs of all sizes and breeds and I am constantly begging my parents to get another one!
