Pet care experience
I’ve had pets since I was a baby, I currently have two large/medium size dogs. I used to work at a pet store so I am very familiar with food restrictions and sensitivities. I am experienced with pet sitting as well, I’ve pet sit dogs who require extra care (diapers, meds, poor mobility), I also have experience with dogs who are high energy and need a highly watchful caregiver (dogs who tend to get into things, dogs who need long walks and lots of exercise, dog who need lots of play time). I am very experienced with cats as well, I’ve taken care of many cats and grew up with them. Cats can be a bit difficult at times but patience is key with them.

I never leave a dog unattended that I am not familiar with. If I am pet sitting I would never leave a dog in a house alone or backyard alone for longer than 5 minutes. Bathrooms breaks every 2-4 hours but if I am caring for a puppy that will be twice an hour.

Important for me is the dogs leash habits and if it is okay for me to try and correct bad leash habits while I am walking with them. It is also important to know if there is anything that sets them off, birds, sirens, kids; so I can be prepared when and if we see those distractions.
A typical day
I usually walk with the dogs, try to walk to a park to play with them. Mainly on walks I go at the dogs pace, some want to smell we smell and if they want to charge ahead we will. If there is a backyard playing with them there too. Hanging out and trying to engage the dog as much as possible.

I am currently between jobs, I am available full time, at all hours. I do own a dog myself so I will need to work around him!
