⚠️ Warning of too much text! 🐾 Let me introduce myself: Hi there! My name is Isabel (32). I come from Arica, a small sunny city at the north of Chile. * By the moment I only speak Spanish and English. 🐾 My Occupation: I’m an industrial designer as a professional, but at the time I am taking a "career break" to be away from the desk. Today I'm living in Berlin and working as a Cleaning lady and Pet sitter. I like to serve people with my work, but what I love the most is to be surrounded by animals. I also like drawing very much. As an amateur illustator I'm wishing to have a chance of being a Pet portrait Illustrator and a Professional Pet Trainer. However, this dream has to wait a little, but meanwhile I am gaining pretty much experience thanks to the humans that are trusting me their beloved pets. 🐾 My own pet experience: Regarding my experience with pets, my family and I have adopt several dogs and one kitty. Today our dogs Kusi, Chibolo and Dui are part of the family. They are in charge of protect our home's perimeter from evil children that play outside. They are very committed to home security. About kitties, once I adopted a blind cat called Precious. Sadly, she died young, but she taught me so much! I must say that the only reason I didn't took care of more cats in the past it's because my brother was super allergic (and he knows how much I hate him for that). Real thing is that I really love kitties and want to get closer to them if I have the opportunity of being chosen from them greatness. 🐾 My experience with other pets: I’ve been offen involved in animal rescue organizations. One of my biggest achieves began one day in 2018: a friend and I found out plenty of abandoned dogs hiding in a Military Stable close to my home. There were more than 20 dogs and puppies, most of them very sick and terrified about people. Although in Chile there are (sadly) too many stray pets, this situation was completely heartbroken. We just couldn't turn a blind eye, and decided to take care and give them in adoption. It was for sure a big deal for months, but at the end every one of them who survived found a family, and I learned so so much from them: giving medical care, veterinary treatments, gaining trust and dealing with different kind of personalities and issues. Can you imagine giving a pill into the snout to terrified mangy dogs who has never interacted with humans? Well, I did, and not only that, I also took temperature and other procedures too, and I am proud of it :) There is still an Instagram profile where I published updates and searched for new owners, you can search it as /PerritosArica In my university's education period, I led a group of students that supported the dogs that lived on the University building and surroundings. We feeded them, took them to the vet and also we designed and builded houses for them in the streets and parks. it was such a nice time! Regarding to dogs experience, I want to be very honest and say that I also had bad experiences: Once, a dog that I was taking care ran away from me in a second of distraction. Panic. It was horrible. The dog's family where comprehensive, but I couldn't find any relief until some children found her and gave her back to her family. I've been thinking about if it's good or not to tell this experience for months, and now I realize that it is good indeed! You know why? If before this incident I was very careful, now I am a 100 times more careful. Experience comes not only from good things... Hard moments teaches to be stronger, and in all honesty I tell you I feel much prepared now. Fun and sad stories have made me become the dog-girl-born-as-a-human I am today. I'm not perfect at all, but I can ensure you I love animals and I will take care of them as I've learned to, and as you take care of them yourself. 🐾 About my place: *UPDATE JANUARY 2023: at the moment we are not able to receive pets at our place. We will let people know when we can do it again in the future. I live in a 2 room apartment with my partner in Neukölln. We have no balcony, but I think that also makes our home a safer place even for cats and dogs :) We live in 12059, by the canal and near small fenced green spots where some doggies play. Not far away is Görlitzer park, Treptower Park, Hasenheide and Tempelhofer Feld, great places to roam and walk. 🐾 My motivation: My biggest motivation, as probably all pet sitters, is that I love animals, and I miss my dogs so much. When I'm surrounded by pets, I feel that itchy thing in my chest that feels like pure happiness and goes up to your face to make you smile like a fool. This is serious: I'm addicted to pet's serotonin! I am sure you can understand what that means. 🐾 My service: You can count on me that I will take care of your pet as much as you do. At this moment, I can walk them or visit them. I may be able to take care of them for some hours depending on my schedule, and I will be glad to help you out in my free spots. I can also bathe, cook and feed them if you need. Walks usually last at least for half an hour, but I am flexible to adapt to the pet's needs. I am not a pet trainer (yet!) but if you wish, I'll be glad to take care of the training your pet may be learning. I will always try to take some good pics and videos of your buddy, but when I am walking them on the street, I don't use the cellphone too much. Anyways, this app allows to show you the walking route. I know my prices may not the cheapest ones, but my compromise is to give the best of me to keep your buddy safe and happy, and also to give you relief.
