Pet care experience
I grew up with 2 dogs and 1 cat - currently have the sweetest 1 year old puppy! Have watched friends and neighbors dogs while they are out of town, take them on walks and feed them while busy at work. Been through the puppy stage, the old-age stage, and everything in between. I am currently working part time on my own schedule, so my life is very flexible for whatever may be needed with your pet! Mornings and afternoons are easiest to work with. I always keep a close eye on my puppy and would do the exact same for your pets, as that is exactly what I would want as a dog owner. I know leaving your pet with anyone takes a lot of trust and I am happy to answer any questions that may ease your mind. Please note that even if your dog walks off-leash normally, I would prefer to keep the leash on just to be extra cautious.

Pet safety is one of the most important things when looking for someone to care for your pet! I have a young dog myself so I 100% understand wanting someone who is extremely cautious and aware. I always make sure doors are secured at all times, pets are properly ready for their walks, and of course I am always aware of my surroundings and other animals / people when walking. I also pay close attention to your pet's body language ESPECIALLY if it is hot out.

I will always ask if there are any specific things I need to know about a dog before going on a walk - if they are friendly with other humans / pets (not that we will ever actively say hello, just need to be prepared), if they use a harness or collar and where they can be located, how much food / water they should be receiving once back from a walk, and any other pertinent information you think someone should know.
A typical day
I always make sure your pet is getting lots of love while going on walks! This includes lots of pats, praise, and positivity. I will always ask an owner if it is okay before giving any special treats as many animals do have food sensitivities. I love to walk in parks if there are any close to your home or any great places for your pet to sniff. I never rush a dog when they're sniffing, it is part of the experience of being outside and not stuck at home!
