I have taken care of dogs since I was 12. Currently a full time pet sitter in another website platform with additional references. My speciality is deescalating, identifying triggers and managing anxiety. I have a neutral energy and understand animal energy, their nonverbal behavior; hence easily identifying their needs. My son who is now 25 Yrs old was non verbal for a long time and had high levels of anxiety (Autism spectrum). He taught me everything I know. I got trained in Applied Behavior Analysis which it is a blessing to have when being animals of all sorts.

Irma is a wonderful, caring and reliable pet sitter. She has come twice to sit my cats for a month at a time and I know they are being very well taken care of. She is communicative and sends updates and pictures so I don't have to worry how everyone is doing. 10/10 would recommend Irma to sit anyone's pets. She truly treats them, and your home, as her own.

Very helpful to know if dogs need special attentions if they are aggressive towards other dogs or towards a specific person. If they have tendencies to chase after rabbits, squirrels etc. Identifying triggers that can cause anxiety like ambulance noise, thunder, other loud noises. Also is good to know if they are used to certain music that soothes them or they like.
A typical day
I love throwing the ball/ stick. I trained a King Charles to fetch a stick while at the lake in a couple of weeks while I stayed at his home. I also like playing tug of war, taking them on walks and swim with dogs if they like water. In regards to cats; I like playing with feather sticks and rolling balls.

I am a semi retired insurance broker. Self employed and work remotely with a very flexible schedule to accommodate flexibility with drop inn visits, scheduling walks and overnight pet care. I offer flexibility in walking dogs and pick them up at hotels, resorts, as you attend important life events and have your furry animal well taken care of.
