🐶 Years of pet care experience! Hi! My name is Iris and my partner, David, and I have years of experience with all types of animals. We live in Boston’s West End with our 10-year-old rescue Shiba Inu, Kendrick (affectionally known as Kenji). Prior to raising and loving Kenji for the last 7 years, we’ve taken care of our own, friends’, and neighbors’ pets by feeding, walking, bathing, and simply loving them! Kenji was a rescue so helping Kenji develop more confidence through our patient and detailed care, we know all about dogs and the importance of being aware of their surroundings and managing the environment to ensure a safe, secure, and happy pup (e.g. watching out for conditions like noises and cars, running kids, and his/other dogs’ behaviors). Kenji loves and plays with the dog he meets or is happy to respect their space if that’s your dog’s style. Our goal is to make sure your pup feels loved, safe, and right at home! We would love nothing more than to be able to show the same love and care to your dog while keeping you updated so you can be reassured of their quality care during your time away. I’m really thankful to God I found Iris and her husband. Beethoven is truly special. He thinks he’s human; and he can actually communicate through his actions what he’s thinking. And although he’d much rather be with mommy….he’s VERY comfortable with Iris and her hubby. They actually LISTEN and do their VERY best to honor your requests. Beethoven is finicky AND spoiled. So honoring my requests requires intentionality. Iris really is intentional and TRULY cares. She sends you pictures and videos of your dog to help you (well, ME) feel at ease. I text her whenever I need her to pay special attention to Beethoven…whether drinking more water, his allergies, etc. Her response to you is prompt. As I started this review off, I’m really thankful to God. Don’t hesitate to use her. You can trust her.
Third time working with Iris and David, and as usual my dog Sansa had the best time, and almost didn’t even want to come home. They take such good care of the dogs, and send lots of pictures everytime. Glad to keep using them!

Our dog spent three GLORIOUS, FUN-FILLED days with Iris Z; and we will continue to use her. When we first moved to Boston part time, our dog was going to a nearby daycare/pet resort. However, every time I took him, he literally would begin to shake. It was obvious he didn’t want to go. After an extremely unpleasant experience. I turned to Rover and was BLESSED to discover Iris. Iris was and IS a God send! The second day I went to drop my dog, Beethoven, off, when he saw her in the distance, he literally RAN to her!!! My dog doesn’t run to ANYONE except me (LOL). That’s when I knew I found the right person!! Beethoven loves her! One of the days, I couldn’t get him to eat breakfast; so I gave her the food to try and get him to eat. I honestly didn’t think he’d eat it. She got him to eat!!!! I couldn’t believe it. Another wonderful and comforting thing….she sends you videos and pictures of your dog throughout the day. I am more than overjoyed and you and your dog will be too. If I could give her more than five stars, I would!

You’ll be provided with frequent updates and cute pictures to give you confidence while you’re away and make you count down the seconds before you’re reunited! 🏠 Spacious and comfortable home We live in a spacious apartment. Our layout allows us to make your dog stay as social or private as needed. Your pup will have a lot of space to play & rest and can sleep in whichever room according to their preference. 🧹 Clean environment We clean up your fur baby's feet every time after a walk. The apartment is cleaned twice a day by hand or vacuum so your fur baby can have a clean and comfortable home! 🛁 Spa day (doggy washroom 🧼) We have professional equipment for dog baths, only $50 for a small dog (under 25lbs) and $65 for a larger dog (over 25lbs).

Changing the environment might cause stress for your fur baby. Still, food can serve as to comfort them well so bring their favorite snacks! Please let us know if you prefer your dog stick with only their dog food (no other foods). Let us know if your dog has specific needs, medical treatment, or anything else we should know to best accommodate their stay (vet info, normal routine, favorite toys, etc.)! Prior to confirming booking, we can schedule a meet and greet to make sure everyone is comfortable!
A typical day
Big pedestrian-only green space We live in an apartment building by the Thoreau Path. Surrounded by other apartment/medical buildings, this clean and pedestrian-only network of walking paths contain plenty of greenery and open space for your dogs to explore and walk around. If you’d like, there are also two dog areas with double gates to allows your dog to run, play happily, and socialize off-leash without any worry. (Of course only if the owner agrees)!

👩🏻 24x7 pet care! David works from home full-time while I work from home most of the week. Between the two of us, there will be plenty of time to play with and care for your dog. We are able to take them out for walks as much as they need!
