Dog-mad student for those big and small!
Pet care experience
I have grown up with Irish and English setters, who have taught me how to handle even the most excitable dogs! Having got our English setter at home last summer, I spend the vast majority training and taking care of him. I have looked after several dogs of all breeds since being back in Edinburgh, from collies to sausage dogs, and have had a great time often helping my friends look after dogs from Rover. I have looked after several >6 month puppies in the last couple of months, and have gone on some fantastic walks with them (followed by some fantastic naps for them!), but also two older gentlemen aged 11 and 13 who just needed some TLC.

I can tell just good things, about it, she done a amazing job.. He was so happy with her, not even wanted to came home with me 😅 He definitely had fun with her, he loved every single bit.. Definitely recommend her. She done a great great job with our wee dog with separation anxiety.. 🤗🤗
Iris has taken care of our young cocker spaniel for the past few months and has not only been responsible and attentive, but shown a genuine love for him. From taking him for long walks to sending us lots of pictures of puppy snuggles, she's been a superstar. Having been able to have him on a regular basis as well as at the drop of a hat, we're so grateful for her and couldn't recommend her enough.
Iris is a highly caring, motivated and conscientious dog walker. She loves interacting with dogs of all types, and instinctively understands their needs I would trust her absolutely with your dog! After all, I trust her with mine...

I live in a tenement flat near the Meadows that has a good garden that is sealed off. I tend to keep the dogs I look after on the lead regardless in there just in case, but I don’t spend much time in the flat with dogs. I usually take them for big walks or to cafes and public places where they can interact and play, as I like being outside too! I am careful to test a dog’s recall before I feel comfortable letting them off the lead in public places and always want the best for them.

A typical day
I usually take dogs to blow off some initially steam on the Meadows or a park near me, and then explore the area, going into dog-friendly cafes and letting them meet new people. If they get tired I take them to mine where they can snooze, or if they need more then Arthur’s Seat is right on my doorstep!

Availability
I am a student who works part-time, usually just on Fridays, and I have a lot of time to take care of any dogs. Aside from that, I don’t have any ties and am very flexible with boarding/sitting/walking requests.
