Iris is a natural when it comes to taking care of animals! I've asked Iris to catsit my cat and she also has taken care of our grandmothers dog. She was very playful with my grandmothers dog, Joske, she came back well excercised. Happy kitty & happy doggo. Highly recommend her!

Being a dog-sitter is a win-win for Iris and the dog. Iris loves walking, so do dogs. Instead of walking alone, she has the dog’s company and the dog does not have to stay at home without exercise. As a child her parents could not keep a dog because of work and also because the thought a dog needs a garden plus that they live in a city where there is not so much green space to take out the dog for a walk. Luckily she had her aunt who kept (and still keeps ) two dogs, so Iris could take care of the German Shepherd and play with the other, the ‘little mongrel’. Later her grandmother had a dog too, a King Charles Chevalier. Although little, of a kind of bread that needs a lot of attention. Did Iris visit her grandma so much for grandma herself or for that cute doggie? Although listening well to the rule ‘never pet dogs before asking’, dogs were just fond of the attention they got from Iris. It must be in the family : dogs pick Iris and her father to get attention, not her mom (although I like them too). Now that studying and travelling a lot lies far behind and Iris has settled in Greendale for a very long time, she can start caring for dogs till the day her wish of having one of her own may come true.
