You’ve heard of the crazy cat lady who can’t surround herself with enough cats? Well, my neighbors lovingly call me the Crazy Dog Lady. They love to see me out walking a group of happy dogs on the trail near my house. I’ve also been called a Dog Whisperer because dogs love me and my home! My dog, Belle, passed away in November 2017 after 15 ½ great years. I will not be adopting another dog, so I have opened my home to watching other people’s dogs! I live in the westside of Joliet in Rooney Heights with friendly neighbors and a great walking trail right near my house. I have a large fenced yard that’s great for hosting numerous dogs. I’ve fostered more than a dozen dogs and also love dog sitting to get my dog fix. I renovated my home and I now live downstairs in the same home. There are stairs that your dog(s) will have to use in order for me to watch them. Some dogs because of age cant do it anymore and I understand. When I’m not watching dogs, I love to line dance, play bags with a group of friends and play Bunco with my girlfriends. I will be fully retired on 10-31-2022. Which means that I will have more time with your dogs. When your dog stays with me, they will go home tired and loved like their own mom or dad was home with them all day!

Iris has watched our dog twice now and she is lovely with our dog. She has a really large backyard and takes the dogs on nice long walks. This last time we were in California and our dog needed medication and she went out of her way to get him medical attention. She was able to get our vet to provide medication when we didn’t have much success recently. Thank you so much Iris for being so good to our family! We are so very grateful!!!
Iris, I cannot thank you enough for loving my Shane as your own. I was truly worried he wouldn’t want to come home. Your house and yard is amazing and we will be going on daily walks inspired by you! If you can walk 5-8 at once, I can walk one! Thank you so much!
Iris is wonderful! Took my dogs on long walks. She sent pictures everyday. My puppies were very happy with her!
Highly recommend!!! We’ve boarded our dog at facilities while away. He comes back smelly and almost sickly from over exhaustion. Having him stay here is the best choice we made. He was very well cared for, fed, clean and went on walks. An at home experience to keep them comfortable. We even received photos. When I picked him up he was the same as I dropped him off?. A very easy process with meet and greet and wonderful communication. Very clean location and Iris is great with communication of what to bring, making sure she has all information about your pet and their routine, habits, food, treats and how they will do with other animals. He was even checked on the next day to see how he was doing after he was picked up. A very wonderful experience!!! Bowzer was one happy pup!! Thank you so much for caring for him while we were away and for your time and caring heart towards animals:). I truly cannot say enough good things about his stay! If you are looking for someone to watch your pet this is it!! Bowzer was happy and so were we!!! Thank you so very much!!!

A typical day
We will go on walks on the trail behind my home, play in my large backyard, and have lots of time to play and snuggle! I love snuggling up to a dog since I don't have to work and even cuddling up to sleep!

Fully retired as on 10-31-22 so I will be home all day. If they need to be crated when not home I can do that also.
