Hi, I’m Iris your local animal lover ❤️ Since I was very young I have always had a love and passion for animals of all types. I got my first dog when I was 17 years old and my second when I was 23, before then I always jumped at the chance to take care of family members pets or just pop by for a visit. I have always opened my home up to any strays or animals that people couldn’t take care of anymore. Once I took on the responsibility of taking care of my own pets, I personally learned to potty and bed train them. I take the time to pay attention to their needs and especially health. My dogs are very precious to me and an important part of my life and I guarantee I will treat your dog with as much love, importance, and respect as I do with my own (same goes with cats!). Hola, me llamo Iris, su amante de animales local ❤️ Desde muy joven siempre he sentido amor y pasión por los animales de todo tipo. Tuve mi primer perro cuando tenía 17 años y el segundo cuando tenía 23 antes de eso, siempre aprovechaba la oportunidad de cuidar a las mascotas de mi familia o visitarlos. Siempre he abierto mi casa a perros callejeros o animales que la gente ya no podía cuidar. Cuando asumí la responsabilidad de cuidar de mis propias mascotas, aprendí personalmente cómo enseñarles a ir al baño y a dormir en sus camas. Me tomo el tiempo para presta atención a sus necesidades, y especialmente a su salud. I have become very vigilant with my dogs over the years and consider myself to be a caring, fun, loving, and conscientious owner. Safety and trust between myself and your pet is my top priority! I strongly prefer to have meet and greets before booking any service to ensure that we are all a good fit. I will engage with your pet in a gentle and loving way but will not force any interaction if they are acting/feeling nervous. Earning their trust is the most important thing and if you have any suggestions in how I can interact with your pet so that we may create that bond please let me know! I personally always take the time to research any products that I buy for my own dogs to make sure they are the best and healthiest options for them. If your pet is on any special diet or require specific care please let me know. I have yet to care for any special needs dogs/cats and senior animals but I am not opposed to taking the time to learn and care for them. If I notice anything out of the ordinary during a visit or stay, I will immediately contact you with photos or call you if it is urgent. I prefer harnesses and non-retractable leashes (4’-6’) for walks. If you only have a retractable leash available I will use my own double-ended leash. I do not allow dogs off-leash except for their own fully fenced-in yard. I will only bring your dog to a dog park that they are familiar with however, I prefer not to due to the liability. Similarly, I will keep a safe distance from any other dogs and decline requests from strangers to pet them if you so wish. If you are expecting any maintenance work, landscapers, etc. while I am scheduled to be at your house I ask that you please let me and the workers know I will be coming by, that way we can avoid any confusion.

What’s your pets favorite toy? Do they have a favorite treat and how many I can give? What are their eating habits, are they on a specific diet? Does your pet require medication, when and how is it supposed to be administered? Are they allergic to specific food, object, or product? Can I pick them up if need be? Are there any behaviors that I should be aware of, especially around people or other animals? We can cover all these questions and go more into detail during our meet and greet :)
A typical day
My dog is very active and loves to play. I make sure to take her on her daily walks and go to the gated field near my home that has plenty of room for her to run and get her energy out. When she has spurts of energy in the house I take the time to play with her favorite toys or got to the yard and play catch with her. She loves attention and cuddles and I always make sure to give her plenty of it.

Availability
*Schedule* I am currently working part-time so I have plenty of time during the week or weekend to take your dog on long walks or come over to have a fun time. I will try my best to accommodate any last minute requests however I prefer to do meet and greets first (for house sittings, this is non-negotiable). I can drive to visits that are up to a 10-15 mile radius from Providence, any farther I will not be able to accept your request. Since I drive to all visits I will require complimentary, non-time-limited parking close to your home, especially for any overnight house sitting. Actualmente trabajo a tiempo parcial, por lo que tengo mucho tiempo durante la semana o el fin de semana para llevar a su perro a dar largos paseos o ir a visitarlo un rato a divertirnos. As I have another job, my availability during the week can be flexible as long as it is within a 2 weeks notice (3-4 weeks would be ideal). Tuesdays and Fridays are the only days I cannot accommodate on last minute requests. If you have a puppy younger than 1 years old and would like to book me for overnight stays longer than 2 nights, I ask that you please reach out to me at least 2 weeks in advance before booking so that I can clear my schedule to ensure I give my full attention to your pup.
