We felt so good leaving Brinkley with Irene for over a week! We can tell Irene really loved and cared for him. She sent lots of photos and videos and took him on lots of long walks in different parks. Our dog is very energetic and requires a lot of exercise and Irene took him on so many good long walks. We feel so thankful for Irene's care!!

Irene is nothing short of amazing. She is diligent, communicative, and tender. These traits make her an excellent animal caretaker. Here was my experience: Irene took care of my 1.5 year old mixed-breed dog Olive (aka Ollie) for 3 entire weeks while I was out of the country for a business trip. The trip was the longest amount of time I’d ever spent away from Olive…and I was pretty anxious about it. For context, Ollie is a relatively high energy adolescent dog who struggles, at times, with resource guarding around other dogs. Irene was extremely patient with my various requests (e.g., when to give Ollie her yogurt snack, when and how much pumpkin puree to feed her etc.) and sensitive to Ollie’s individual needs. She proactively sent regular updates to me in the form of photos, videos and text messages. She also went above and beyond to ensure that Olive got a TON of playtime (keeping Ollie entertained and stimulated at the beach, El Cerrito Hills trails and walks around the block). Every single day I was reassured that my dog was well taken care of and most importantly safe. For me, that peace of mind was priceless. I can guarantee you that the care, thoughtfulness, and one-on-one attention Irene delivered far exceeds anything you could find at a boarding facility. Another really awesome plus: Irene has a fenced backyard and lives in a very quiet neighborhood. Olive is very easily overstimulated and knowing this gave me an even deeper sense of comfort about Olive’s stay. I am so incredibly thankful to Irene.
