I've grown up with dogs since I was a kid and had my own beloved pup for 9 years before he passed away. I now have a 3 year old smooth fox terrier who gets along with just about any other dog she's met and she has been temperament tested. However please be sure your dog is be comfortable being around another dog. By comfortable, I mean having experience being in a household environment and not being aggressive to other dogs. Please test your dog for food or toy aggression/guarding. If your dog has been professionally temperament tested or is familiar with a group daycare setting even better. I don't mind feeding the dogs separately, but your dog should not be territorial to the extent that it will make the environment unsafe. I would be honored to love and care for your dog, too! I know what it's like to leave my pup with strangers and I'll do everything I can to make you feel comfortable with the situation. Plus, I'm always happy to have a new dog to model for my camera so expect a lot of pictures! My condo is super dog friendly. There is a fenced in yard for easy playtime and I live right near the southwest corridor park. Happy to take your pup for hikes in the arboretum, by the pond or in the blue hills if they have the energy or desire. Or if they are more low key we can lounge around in the back yard. Generally, drop off time is at 4 pm and pick up 4 pm but I can usually be flexible if you have specific travel plans. I prefer to have one dog, unless the two dogs are from the same family. Also, I only post availability when I'm working from home or on weekends. So I'll only leave the house without your pup to run short errands (1 hour or less) if needed. On occasional weekends I will have a young child with me, but I will notify you if that is the case to make sure that your dog would be ok with this. I only take care of dogs on weekends or when I'm home so your dog will not be left alone for more than 2-3 hours at most. I have my own dog at home and a fenced in back yard and I'm used to incorporating care into my routine. I have a fenced in yard and will cater to your pets needs.
