Attentive and Caring dog LOVER!
Pet care experience
Taking care of pups has been a huge part of my life. I have volunteered at animal shelters in the past, walking and loving on the dogs there, and cleaning their spaces. I also know CPR for dogs and have a good understanding of basic emergency veterinary medicine for dogs. I care very deeply about the welfare of every pup that comes under my wing, and always make sure to provide the best possible care for them, no matter what. During a stay, I like to get an idea of what your pup enjoys doing the most. If they have a set schedule they like sticking to, I’m more than happy to accommodate. In general, there are a few things that I love doing in particular: I love to go for walks in big open spaces with lots of smells and trees/nature (parks), play fetch, play with toys in the backyard, and of course, have some time to wind down and get lots of love and cuddles! My every day schedule varies a little but I would make sure to make time for needed outings and clear my schedule for plenty of outside and inside time! I typically like to schedule a meet-and-greet before a booking to ensure that we’re all a good match for each other. I don’t have any breed preferences, and love every kind of pup all the same! A meet is also a good opportunity for me to start collecting some important information about your pooch (special requests, medications/allergies, feeding schedules, favorite toys/activities) and start thinking about the best way to make your pup’s stay as perfect as possible. Making sure that both pups and owners feel completely comfortable and well taken care of is my number one priority. That’s why I design every stay around a dog’s particular needs, and will always be in regular communication with owners.
Reviews
Irene has an amazing love of all animals, especially dogs. She has taken care of our Rottweiler, Gunner, and has done a wonderful job of keeping a 180lb dog happy, well walked/played with, and loved. When we returned it was clear that he had bonded with her and every time she cares for him he is happy and content. This is everything I want for Gunner, when we cannot be with him. I highly recommend Irene.
Irene is one of the most caring and compassionate human beings I've ever known especially when it comes to animals. She takes wonderful care of her home and has a perfect backyard lawn for dogs to move around. Any pets staying in Irene's care would be treated like royalty!

Information Irene K. would like to know about your pet
Some things I like to learn ahead of time: Would you like to schedule a meet-and-greet before the stay? Does your pup have any health issues that need to be tended to? For instance, dietary restrictions, medicine, or behavior triggers? Does your pup like to stick to a given schedule, like regular walks in the morning and evening? What does your pup do well around? What does your pup try to avoid? What’s the best way to spoil your pup?
A typical day
Before the stay, I like to ask owners if there are any regular spots that your pup likes to go to or really enjoys. We’ll make sure to visit those places if there are any. I also have some places of my own, and like to take the dogs to places where they can be safe and get to enjoy their time outdoors, such as parks, open fields (always on leash), and nature trails. I like these better than just a walk around the neighborhood because a dog can truly get the most out of their time in nature being surrounded by green grass and trees, instead of cars whizzing past and the smells of city life. I personally love to hike and be outdoors, and there’s just nothing better than having a canine co-pilot along for the trip! Weather permitting, I try to head out at least once a week on these kinds of adventures.
