I’ve owned a variety of pets for over 10 years and worked in a veterinary clinic along with previous veterinary and boarding service work for 3 years while in Utah. I’ve worked with special needs pets and I’m comfortable with medical needs of most types. In addition to owning dogs and cats, I also have 6 reptiles, 2 chinchillas and a hedgehog. I grew up in a small farm, and worked with pigs for 2 years, along with a zoo internship. I’m comfortable with almost any pet you’ve got, so please don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you don’t fit the “normal” dog request.

Pets will be given meals as directed, medications as prescribed, and taken outside according to the home’s layout- whether it’s a walk or yard time, or both. Walks will be local and a dog park visit can be incorporated once a relationship with the dog is established. Each client’s needs can be taken into account to create custom plans for your pooch.

Given my veterinary background, I’d like written guidelines for medical needs and emergency protocol, just in case. I’d rather be over prepared than second guessing in the moment. I’d also like a brief history so I know if there’s anything I need to look out for, such as allergies and surgeries, in addition to medications.
A typical day
My dogs frequently kayak with me and I’d love any dogs I sit to tag along. I can gladly take them to locals lakes to play. I’ve also created a variety of enrichment types for various needs for dogs and cats to keep them stimulated. Dog park requests are welcome but I won’t take them there without owner knowledge.

I’m a full time student at the University of Illinois, working toward a Master of Vet Science, I work full time for the Tennessee Dept of Ag which does require me to travel on occasion and respond to calls as well. I have a Master of Public Health degree in Veterinary Public Health from Utah State. My job is primarily remote and schooling is online which allows me some flexibility to be with your pet over weekends and during my off days. If you have WiFi, I have a laptop and will gladly travel :) With school, I do ask that if you book with me to be respectful of my time. I don’t enjoy chasing after people for answers and being stood up.
