I currently work full-time but have a flexible schedule that allows me to cater my workday to the needs of your pets! I will adjust my day to mimic your own as much as I can, as I feel this method helps keep pets in their normal routine and happier overall. If your pet likes to go on car rides I am happy to oblige them, or if they prefer to lounge on the couch I love a cuddle buddy! Whatever your dogs normal is, I fit my day to their comfort!

I love animals, and whenever I pet sit I give every animal I care for the best treatment possible. I will try to keep them on a schedule if they already have one, or if they are more go with the flow, that works for me too. Whatever they are comfortable with I will adapt to.

I prefer to meet all of the pets I care for beforehand, as it lets them get to know me in a setting where the owners are present to reassure them! Some pets do ok with a stranger taking care of them with no introduction, but I prefer to know them for their sake and mine!
A typical day
I have access to my own vehicle, and so if need I can drive to appointment, a dog park, etc! I try to fit my day to day as close as possible to your pets sense of “normal” if they typically get to run around in the yard a lot I will play with them, Orr if they prefer to lounge I will be their buddy on the couch. Everything I do is to help them feel like everything is perfectly normal, no reason to stress!

Pet care experience
I have been around animals all my life, for as long as I can remember my family has always had at least 2 dogs. I am most familiar with high energy breeds like German shorthaired pointers or border collies, but have dog-sat for neighbors and friends with calmer breeds as well. I also have owned cats for most of my life, and am very comfortable with them. I also can care for larger animals such as horses, cows, or pigs, all of which I have at home as well and am comfortable around. In my pet sitting adventures I have met many new friends, including snakes, lizards and even birds of prey! I have been pet-sitting on my own for about 4 years now, ever since I got my driver's license.
