I have had dogs my whole life. Currently have a 13 1/2 yr old Beagle named Rosco. I have had Rosco since age 1yr from Oregon Humane Society. I recently had to put my 12 yr old Rhodesian Ridgeback, Lab mix to sleep due to bleeding splenic mass. His name was Brio and got him at 9 mo old from Bonnie Hays Small Animal Shelter. Rosco, as I ,have had a difficult time without him. I have acquired ALL my pups from a Shelter and an active advocate that everyone get their animals from a Shelter. My daughter & her husband have a 4 yr old Great Dane, Shephard mix that they rescued from Kill shelter in California. I have a strong Medical background (RN for 45 yrs)and feel prepared to use first aid and skills should they be needed. Gave My daughters kitten , 19 yrs old, IV fluids for 2 weeks everyday until we realized that kitten was not going to thrive on her own. Dogs are each individuals, have their own personalities and are fun to get to know. I enjoy interacting, playing and loving them. Watch out maybe slightly spoiled...
