Dog loving UC student!
Pet care experience
My family has had pets ever since I can remember. I learned very early about the basic needs of taking care of dogs, guinea pigs, hamsters, fish, and more. As our two Bichon Frisés started getting older, I learned how to take care of animals that have more medical needs. My family also adopted some cats, and found a rescue kitten that we nursed back to health, so I know how to take care of cats too. Finally, almost three years ago, I adopted a rescue dog. With her, I learned how patient and loving you need to be as a owner. She had major anxiety and allergy issues but I have worked hard with her to help her over come these and am still seeing improvements every day. Since adopting her, I have also been a sitter for some puppies, so I have experience with animals of all ages. I know that taking care of animals requires time, effort, patience, and of course, lots of love. *Update: I now also have a 4 month kitten. She’s is super social and friendly and gets along with my dog really well. Unless your pet is not good around cats, there should be no issues.

India did a great job watching our 11 month old standard poodle. Missy was a nice companion and playmate for him through the entire day. India took them for a long walk together and sent photos. India impressed me as being very organized, considerate, responsible and caring. Great choice!
India has been a dog lover and owner for as long as I can remember. Her doggo love is unconditional, even if it isn’t her own. Her knowledge of dogs and their needs is priceless. There’s no one else I’d rather have care for my dog.

I live in an apartment-style house on Bellevue Avenue, where the house is divided into two unit. The other unit has no access to mine. The apartment is set up so that there is a main floor with the living room, dining room, and kitchen, and then the basement contains the bedroom and bathroom. I do not have any roommates, except for my own dog and cat, who are both extremely good with other animals. I have had Missy, my dog, for a almost three years now and she has never shown any aggression towards other animals or people. I have only had my kitten for a little over a month but she is extremely social and loves other animals. I will have cameras set up around the house so that I can see the animals while I am not home. There isn’t a yard at the house but I make sure to take my dog on a long walk at least once a day, if not more, and take her to the dog park a few times during the week.

I do not have any breed preferences, all sizes, genders, colors, etc. are welcome! All I ask is that they are in the process of learning or already know basic commands and are not aggressive!
A typical day
We will goes on walks around the UC campus as well as the parks and trails that are nearby. We will also make trips to the dog park to socialize with other doggy buddies! I do have a dog of my own so we will most likely all play together throughout the day and have cuddle time once we are all worn out.

Availability
I am currently a 5th year student at the University of Cincinnati. I have classes on Wednesday’s from around 9am-4pm but there are breaks between the classes and I live close enough that I can walk during those in order to make time for potty breaks, medicine administration, etc. I have an internship on Tuesday and Thursdays, from around 9am-5pm and will not be able to go home during these hours, but if the animal needs something during these times, I am able to make arrangements for someone else to go over and take car of it. Other than studying, I do not have anything going on for the other days of the week, unless I pick up a shift at another job that I am back up for but I will know about that in advance and can let you know about it. I am usually extremely flexible and will do my best to accommodate for the needs of you and your pet!
