We're down(ward) dog with all pups!

Pet care experience

Hello My name is Jennifer , I am 36 and freelancer and animal lover, who may cry after watching Dodo dog videos. My husband Inam is writer/comedian who enjoys pups more than his jokes. We are dog parents to two smaller pups Bob Marley and Bruce Springsteen. Don't worry they are very loving of other dogs. We have a large apt with plenty of open space for the pups to play and socialize. We also volunteer for Badass Brooklyn and am lucky to have a car to help their dogs to and from medical appointments. We can do the same for you if you need help with transporting the dog and you dont have time to either drop the pup off my place, and/or We can get to your place much quicker then it normally takes to train it there. We can't imagine a life without dogs; we really don't deserve them. But you deserve the best care and fun for your pup. We am very flexible with my schedule, feel free to reach out with any other questions. Jennifer & Inam

Our dogs had a great week with Jennifer and Iman. The sitters have dogs over every day (including their own) so our dogs had playmates. They sent us cute pics and detailed updates. Our dogs were happy upon pickup and had been recently bathed, which was a nice touch.

Information Inam & Jennifer Q. would like to know about your pet

We like to know as much as we can so your dog's stay will be comfortable, stimulating, and as much fun as humanly/doggly possible. Lots of pups, especially rescues, have triggers that freak them out. Others harbour deep dislike for joggers, bikes, children, etc. You don't have to give us the complete rundown, but if there are any biggies, it helps for us to have a heads up. We need to know how they do with other dogs. Our two little guys love other dogs and we frequently have simultaneous stays or doggie daycare so we want to make sure everybody is going to play well. We have plenty of space to separate pups with beefs and conflicts, but again, it helps us when we know what to expect so we can be ready. It's also helpful to know what commands your dog knows and the words and gestures you use to communicate. If there's anything specific that you're working on, please let us know and we can help during the visit!

A typical day

We have plenty of toys to play with including ones to stimulant their mind (like treat puzzles). Dogs do get bored, so its important to give them attention so they aren't snoozing away the day. We like to go on walks through our neighborhood and take advantage of Prospect and Mount Prospect parks to switch up sidewalk walks and nature walks. We got for at least 3 walks through the day, more if we have puppies in the house. Usually our morning walk is the longest and we like to be out and about for at least an hour. Jenn carries a doggie sling so she can carry any of the littler or older pups when their legs get tired. At least a couple of times a week we like to go to one of the dog runs or parks nearby. It's always a great opportunity for the dogs to socialize and run to their hearts' content. That's one of the best parts of living in Brooklyn, so many dogs to meet!
