I have taken care of many kinds of animals my entire life. I grew up in the country and my parents for many years bred border collies. I often would bring home stray puppies or cats to care for and raise or find homes for. I couldn't just leave them as it would break my heart. My parents would never tell me no, being animal lovers themselves. I would also help my neighbors care for their animals and dogs. As an adult I have volunteered at shelters and rescues. I would walk, bath, feed and help train unwanted dogs and cats. Having a scared animal gain trust in you and come to love you is one of the most precious and rewarding things I've ever experienced. I currently work full time evenings (2 to 11) so that leaves me available during the day to help those that may need someone to walk, feed or just say hello to their pet while they themselves are working/unavailable in the mornings. I have a dog (his name is Rocko and he's my baby) myself and would love for him to make some friends to walk with. In my home I have a crate if needed. I take my own dog on regular long walks and play in our large yard. I spend 20 minute sessions with him training him and would love to add your furbaby to the fun of learning something new and getting treats for doing a good job!
