Hi, my name is Imani and I obviously love Disney movies (notice the Finding Nemo reference in my headline)! Aside from the Disney classics, I am a ginormous dog lover. I didn't grow up with any dogs of my own however, what I lacked in ownership I made up for in volunteer work and helping my neighbors with their dogs. I am a recent graduate from the Manhattan School of music MM 2021, and now I’m pretty much either walking dogs or playing music around the city, come to a show! I'm from Dallas, and lived in Chicago for 4 years so I’ve always been a city girl. My home in Texas had a lush green backyard with a creek running through it and I spent most of my time outside soaking up the sun, so unfortunately for me every city I’ve moved to has had increasing amounts of concrete and decreasing amounts of nature. Here, in order to make myself more at home I go on lots of long walks around the city and through it’s parks. This pattern of mine started when I moved to Chicago and realized how much I missed trees. While on my walks I soon realized how many dogs there were in Chicago and there are even more in New York. I thought to myself, why not find myself some loyal walking companions! For me, meeting a new dog is like making a new friend. I love discovering the little quirks in each pup's personality, and trying to figure out just what those head tilts mean 😆 Just like a friend, your dog has needs that I know will be my job to fulfill and I look forward to not only the wagging of their tails to let me know I'm doing good by them, but also the happiness you carry when you come back home to the happy healthy pets you left me with!
