Pet care experience
I have over 10 years of pet care experience. I am able to give medicine, groom and wash, I am respectful when taking dogs out and make sure I clean up after them. I take direction well. If you have certain habits you'd like to reinforce I will do the same. I am not afraid to ask questions to ensure you have a stress free time away from your little family member. Their safety is just as important to me and it is to you and I hope to ease their tension while you are away.

Imani is a dear friend whom I trust with caring for our friendly two year old Jack Russel Terrier, Lola. When I need to go on a short trip, Imani is the first friend I call. LOLA LOVES IMANI and gets very excited when Imani visits. Our dog (just like most) others) has a keen sense of which humans can be trusted and those who cannot. Lola knows Imani loves animals.

In my home I make sure there are no dangerous items like paints or open doors to rooms with unknown items available to be eaten or torn up. I also make sure I have favorite toys and activities to keep busy. I don't leave pets alone, unsupervised ever. I live with 4 housemates all who love animals but don't desire to own one as it's a large responsibility.

It's important to know if they are trained. Some dogs I have walked in the past didn't have training and it was a big deal when walking by other dogs. Knowing your pets habits is best for my safety and theirs. Understanding what excites them, what motivates them be it food, or a pedestrian on a bike help me to be prepared and alert while maintaining a safe space for them. It goes without if saying if they have medicine to take, knowing their expected time to take it and the best method is really important to me to make sure your pet receives proper care.
A typical day
I love to play tug a war and fetch. I run around A LOT to tire them out and love games that stimulate them and keep them engaged. I make sure they feel like they get enough play time as it also encourages me to stay healthy and active.

Availability
I am a student 3 days. week Tuesday-Thursday so finding odd jobs to supplement my income is ideal. I study film and media at UC Berkeley, so much of my time is spent reflecting on film theory and reading. I work as an art director in the industry and much of my job is set design and set dressing, so I am attentive to details, especially in regards to the home space.
