Pet care experience
My name is Ilayda, and I have lived with and looked after animals my entire life! My family back home takes care of a total of eleven cats, two dogs, and many, many street animals, and I really miss having them around. I work as a pet sitter on another platform and am now offering my services on Rover. If you have dogs, I would love to care for small/medium-sized breeds! For the past few years, I have taken care of my clients', friends', and aunt's dogs (Chihuahuas and Poms), including daily walks, multiple dogs at once, and overnight stays. Ilayda was housing sitting our senior cat while we were away for 5 days. I was nervous leaving Milo as he tends to get sick a lot but Ilayda did an excellent job with him, giving him his medication as needed. She is also very communicative and sent me lots of pics and videos and kept me updated throughout. I felt assured knowing Milo is well taken care of. She is very sweet and I will be using her services again in the future. Thanks Ilayda!

I have had Ilayda come to stay with my cat multiple times, both for drop ins and housesitting. She has always been very responsive, enthusiastic, helpful, and gives excellent updates on how my cat is doing. I also have a very picky eater, and Ilayda thankfully is very patient and willing to go above and beyond to make sure she is eating. Leaving your pets to go away is hard, but I always trust my cat is in safe hands with Ilayda.
Ilayda is a wonderful sitter! She stayed at my home with my three cats for a week-the cats loved her. Each of my cats have medical issues - 2 with asthma and 1 with oral meds. Ilayda was able to give them their meds and lots of love. I recieved pictures and updates every day. My male cat is very picky but warmed up to her right away. Highly recommended by me and the cats!

Home Visits: - All pet-care needs covered (feeding, changing water, playtime, poop scooping/pee pad changes, brushing etc.) - Extra pet-related cleaning (e.g. vacuuming litter, cleaning messes, mopping pee etc.) - Plant care (please provide directions) - Frequent photos and updates House-Sitting: - Overnight cuddles, which are up to the pet's discretion! :) - Putting out garbage/handling mail/daily cleaning - All of the above points in Home Visits Lastly, if you choose to book with me, please provide your vet's phone number, location, and any important health-related details before my stay in case of an emergency. When sitting, I keep my phone very close to me to ensure quick and seamless communication. It's important to be easy to reach for ease of mind, after all!

I strive to make your pet's experience as comfortable and enjoyable as possible while you're away because I know just how hard it is for them to be apart from their family! As such, please let me know your pet's general personality and preferences regarding exercise, treats, and pets (e.g., the spots they love having scratched or the parts they dislike). Additionally, it is vital for me to know beforehand about any medication & supplements they may take regularly or need occasionally.
A typical day
I love to cuddle and lounge, go on long walks, and have play sessions- whatever your pet likes best! I try to switch up the way I play with pets to keep them entertained or stick to their favourite toy if they prefer. Whatever they want to do, be it to play extra long outside or have a lazy day in, I'm happy to accompany them and address their needs to the best of my ability.

Availability
Important notice: I am fully booked for April and will be travelling for most of May. I have also raised my prices for bookings May and onwards to reflect my experience. Exceptions to this increase can be made for regular clients. I live in North York and work for a software company near Union Station. My role is hybrid, meaning I only go to the office once a week (Mondays) and can comfortably visit and stay in your home as long as it does not overlap my 9-5 work hours.
