Mature Veterinary Student Pet Sitter!
Pet care experience
I am a 31 year old veterinary medicine student who has grown up with cats and small furries. I also have experience caring for dogs both through my degree and personal life. I have a Zoology BSc with Honors from the University of Glasgow and worked as a consultant ecologist for 4 years.
Reviews
Ian was awesome. Highly recommend!
Ian has been great with our dog. She’s very nervous but he’s taken his time with her and built up her confidence of him coming in to take her for a walk.
Ian took good care of my rats whilst I was away for two weeks. He was in regular contact with me and went through everything in thorough detail prior to looking after them, ensuring they had the best care. They both came back super happy and healthy, just as they were when I left - would highly recommend!
Ian is honest, trustworthy and very caring. We have a17 year old long haired cat that Ian looks after. As Milo has aged he finds it increasingly difficult to groom himself and knots develop. Ian always checks for these and grooms Milo regularly and carefully. He checks if his claws need trimming and always handles him so gently.

Information Ian W. would like to know about your pet
I think it’s is important for me to be made aware of any existing medical conditions and behavioural quirks. For example, how your pet is with other pets (dog, cat, exotics, etc.), how your pet is with new people/men/women/children, what yours pets likes/dislikes are, & what are some of their unfavourable behaviours and what do you do when this occurs.
A typical day
I am sporty and an avid hiker so I can accommodate high energy dogs and long walks for individuals needing a lot of exercise. I know some nice walks in my area and am capable of researching local walks when I am away from home. I also think it is important to mentally stimulate dogs therefore I like to play hide and seek (with myself or treats) and reinforce current training/tricks.

Availability
As I am a university student I can be fairly flexible during the week however there are some compulsory university classes that I must attend. This is different each week, although I have a timetable for each semester therefore I can forward plan. I also have a motorcycle so I can travel a good distance for house sitting, but I cannot transport pets myself.
