Accommodating, flexible friend

Pet care experience

I've taken care of dogs of all sizes for the last two years, including little Chihuahuas, to Pit Bulls, and Labradors. Neighbors, close friends, and work colleagues have relied on me to watch their dogs, stay overnight with them, walk them, and care for them. Also have experience taking care of elderly dogs that require daily medication.

Ian was so great with both of our pups. He sent pictures and the dogs were genuinely happy while they were with him. I can’t recommend him enough.

Ian is very reliable and trustworthy. He and I work together and I asked him to stay at my house and watch my 2 senior dogs while I was away. Ian did a great job building trust with my dogs and they ate well and took all of their medications for him. Ian was willing to adapt to the dogs specific needs and routines. He is now my go-to dog and house sitter because I know I can rely on him. I highly recommend Ian!

Safety, trust & environment

I am comfortable walking your dog, playing with them in the yard, putting them in their crate, feeding, and making sure they feel cared for and happy throughout the day.

Information Ian W. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your dog has any special needs that I need to account for, such as problems getting on/off the couch or bed, hearing or visual impairments, etc. Also, please let me know if they have any medicine that needs to be taken, and the frequency (morning, morning/night)

A typical day

I like to start the day by taking the dog on a morning walk, to help me wake up and get them some initial exercise. Then, around lunchtime, I like to take at least 30 minutes to play around in the yard. If time allows and the dog still has energy, I like to take them for another short walk in the evening once it cools down. Typically, I avoid taking the dog to dog parks or somewhere outside their neighborhood, as I know it can be unnerving for the pet when they are in an unfamiliar setting with a new person.

I work full-time, and my company has a hybrid work policy that allows me to work from home two days a week. When in the office, I am usually at home by 4:30PM to care for your pet. When working from home, I can be there all day. If requesting a walk or drop-in playtime, I normally take my lunch break at noon everyday and can spend up to 45 minutes with your pet.
