Pet care experience
My name is Ian U and I love dogs and animals in general! I have been sitting/walking through Rover for a few years now, and volunteered at the Oregon Humane Society as dog walker before that. I grew up with a black lab/retriever mix named Emily as a family dog, and I just adopted the first dog of my adult life in December 2020! Her name is Sapphire, she's 8 years old, and she is a sweet pittie princess who might actually be a small hippopotamus. I love her to pieces! Because I have a dog of my own, I most likely can't stay overnight at your house unless maybe it's just for a night or two. But I'm happy to stop by several times a day and Sapphire is fine to chill at home during visits. I will never introduce our dogs without your permission/supervision. I also love cats! I am allergic, but not severely, plus there's always allergy medication! (Yay, science!) I look forward to meeting you and your animals!

Ian was great with my senior dog. He was communicative while we were away, and I knew my dog was in good hands. He was super flexible when our flight was cancelled and we needed another last minute walk!
Ian is such a great dog sitter! He loves our pitbull and does well with her strength. Ian is very attentive and we love getting to book him for walks or pet sitting!
Ian is SO reliable and so willing to be flexible with my sporadic schedule changes.

I love to snuggle with and walk my dog. I spend every second that I can with her, and like to take her with me anytime I have somewhere to go that will accommodate. I feed her twice a day and give her lots of treats and kisses! I treat my clients' dogs like they're my own. Obviously I don't feed them whatever they want and I care for them as instructed by their owners, but I give them the same love, attention, and affection I give my own dog. All dogs are amazing and worthy of all the love!

If they have any behaviors I should watch out for, or if they have a tendency to get a little rowdy/aggressive. I've never been bit by a dog (knock wood) and they all seem to love me, but if your dog is a little on the aggressive side and doesn't love everyone they meet, it might be a good idea to arrange a meet-and-greet prior.
A typical day
I will gladly go on walks, play fetch, play tug-o-war, practice/teach tricks, and give treats (at your discretion/instruction of course), pets, scritches, belly-rubs and all the love to your dogs!

Availability
I work Monday-Friday, 9-5 (10-6 on Wednesdays), but I am happy to stop by for a quick visit/feeding before work, and can do walks and longer visits after work as well. My Saturdays are completely free, and on Sundays I teach guitar lessons from basically 12-5, depending on the day. I am happy to use any hours I can, including my days off, to care for your pets!
