Thanks so much for visiting my profile! I signed up for Rover after my childhood pet passed away, hoping the platform would help me reconnect with my favorite species while earning some money on the side. Fast-forward to today and dogs have completely taken over my life!!! I am now a full time, full service canine caretaker; I walk dogs seven days a week and consistently book housesitting gigs at clients’ homes and boarding jobs in my two-bedroom apartment on 65th street (UES). To give you a sense of how I might provide for your dog, let me walk you through (pun intended) a quintessential day: I wake up snuggling a beautiful animal in either the client’s home or my own. We immediately go out for relief / exercise and then eat breakfast / take meds. I’m also a guitarist, so before I head out to walk my usual customers, the overnighter might benefit from some music therapy to help cope with the anxiety of being away from their parents and alone for a few hours during the day. As of writing this, my first regulars are a brother & sister who require a mid-day bathroom escort, so I head over to Hudson Yards around noon. Then, I have a cute rescue up by Columbus Circle who needs a lot of exercise, so we make sure to walk at least 2 miles everyday together. The next few hours of my day are currently open, but I’d eventually like to schedule a few more walks before returning to take out and feed dinner to my overnight friend. If the booking is at my home, the dog will enjoy the attention of my flatmates after they come back from work before going out for one last walk before bed.
