3rd Dimensional Experiences
Pet care experience
Im Ian! Some know me by Ziek. I started this pet sitting business a few years back and had to put it on hold since I’ve been studying in college. I have since attained an AAS and I have one year left for my BS in aquatic microbiology with minors in chemistry and fish & wildlife sciences. I am currently interested in Coral micro biome research and have recently grown incredibly interested in mangrove sedimentary ecosystems. I am currently a student lab assistant in the Bacteriology and Parasitology labs at the Oregon Veterinary Diagnostic Lab since October 2020. And I am also a research assistant in a coral research lab at OSU studying mutagenesis in predatory vibrio bacteria that are associated with particular Coral. I am an absolute lover of our natural world and our planet. I absolutely love animals. They always have so much wisdom to offer. I'm flexible on pricing if you have a lot of animals . Prices are mostly revolved around a house with one or two animals. But if you have a handful of animals I'll work with you ^^ I am a very empathetic type of guy who seeks the deeper meanings of the universe. In-tune with the energies that the Fauna and Flora(Plant & Animal) possess and with that I am able to connect with animals on deeper levels. My daily passions include finding myself lost in the woods, botany, mushroom picking/mycological studies, microbiology, horticulture, farming, energy transfer, astrology, plant pathology and anything to do with the natural world. I was previously in college studying forest and wildlife sciences . Over the summer of 2018, I worked at Wildlife Images in Grants Pass as an animal care intern. I learned how to handle birds of prey, many songbirds/corvids/woodpeckers/doves/hummingbirds, mammals and reptiles. I had the opportunity to raise a number of baby birds by following feeding schedules and administering medications. I also worked in the clinic and ICU following daily charts to administer feedings and medications to patients when the time permitted. The medications were for the most part given orally but a few patients required IM(intramuscular) injections. I also learned how to administer subcutaneous fluids to birds of prey and squirrels. On a daily basis, I also ensured that all of the patients in the outside enclosures, which were soon to be released, were fed and provided with water. The most rewarding part of the experience was releasing healthy rehabilitated patients back into the wild after seeing them come so far and becoming healthy again. Numerous animals have crossed my path throughout my lifetime, sometimes, only in need of a home and love, I swoop them up into my grasps and adopt them into my family. I never planned on having either of my 2 cats, Edward and Yuri, they were both found on the streets and I couldn't be happier. I also adopted a black lab at the Willamette Humane Society , his name is Sirius . A few other animals that I have experience raising are reptiles(bearded dragons), rats, chinchillas, hamsters, a few types of fish, and birds. They are all that I have had first hand experience raising in my family. Though I am a very progressive, adaptable learner who is able to self-teach efficiently and am very passion driven when it comes to seeking knowledge. I am mostly an introvert, but in fact because I have a lot of wisdom that I feel I may only be able to connect with some individuals on a different level and with others I choose to keep silent or don't have much to say. I believe I am very mature and wise. A few traits that lead my daily life include compassion, empathy, wisdom, courtesy, and kindness. With that I hope you have a wonderful 3rd Dimensional experience. You may know me as Ian, some know me by Ziek, you can call me by whichever resonates with you. I am currently a college student working on my BS. I have free time when I am not at school and I could easily fit some dog enrichment into my day. I have one other dog who loves company of other dogs . He enjoys playtime and is a black lab. He is also very gentle if another dog doesn’t want to play. He’s very good at keeping his own space if needed. I have a large backyard and a few parks nearby as well.
Reviews
Ian did a wonderful job taking care of our special fur friends (cat and dog). Ian's gentle nature is exactly what our pets needed: they are usually hesitant to accept new people but took to Ian right away. We are so lucky to have found a sitter they love! Thanks again for taking such good care (and cleaning up after) our sweet friends.
Ian was great with our animals and sent us photos and updates along the way! We came home from our trip and the house looked great and all the animals and plants were happy! We would definitely recommend Ian and use him again, it's hard to find someone versatile enough to handle a diabetic cat, chickens and a tortoise not to mention a garden as well!
Ian did an amazing job watching, walking, and hanging out with our pets while we were away! We will definitely by using him again!
Ian was fantastic! And we left him with quite a handful: a kitty that wasn't feeling well and a dog with separation anxiety. He took great care of both of them, and we'll be happy to leave our boys in his care in the future. Thank you, Ian. :)

Information Ian R. would like to know about your pet
My first question would be - How do they get along with other animals, cats & dogs? Also are they house-trained? I would like to know all preferences that are important to know, such as but not limited to: Food/Eating Preferences (Time, Aggression, How Much), Any Medical Issues (Any Walking Restrictions, Medication, etc.), Attitude towards Car Rides, and any other Specifics you think would be important for me to know. No breed preferences.
A typical day
I always am in need of a forest companion. My pup, Sirius and I would love to just run deep into the forest and play some fetch with a few sticks or with a few dog toys I bring along. Maybe a hike one day, walk along the river, and then play in a field somewhere. Sometimes we would go to the river and go swimming together; I would definitely go swimming as well. We would swim and fetch in the water and then after we dry off we would get some nice chow and water. Maybe take a nap. Every day would be a different adventure.
