Matching your dog’s temperament!

Pet care experience

I've handled big and small dogs of varying breeds with diverse physical needs. Bathing, exercising, training, and cuddling - I've done it all. When I had my own dog, we traveled the country in a van, mountain biked, and spent every moment together.

Ian has watched our pets for extended periods of time while we've been away. He is a very responsible and dependable sitter. He is an excellent dog trainer, and provided our pets with structure, exercise, and support that they need. I would leave my pets with Ian at any time.

Ian is a very responsible, trustworthy, and capable dog sitter. Ian has been responsible for my dog Lenny for multiple times for different duration and every time I knew Lenny was in good hands. He is capable of giving the most energetic dog the exercise that is needed, the patients to work with dogs that may be anxious, and the intelligence to help any owner and pet in their training methods. Ian wold be a good pick for any dog owner that needs a hand.

Ian is remarkable with animals - his intuition around dogs and cats in particular is palpable. He is energetic and playful - getting down on the level of animals and meeting them where they are at. Ian has cared for my dog, Scout, frequently. She is my best bud, but whenever Ian comes around I’m suddenly insignificant to her. She loves Ian endlessly. My pup is a border collie and require a lot of attention and exercise. Ian is patient and consistent in his demeanor constantly putting her at ease. There is no one in the world I trust with my animals more than Ian.

Information Ian K. would like to know about your pet

It’s helpful to know the breed and personality of the dog. Are they energetic? Do they take a lot of attention or maintenance, or do they just like to be around? Do they socialize well with other dogs, or not? Do they have specific behaviors that are less desirable? Are they good motivated or aggressive? There’s a huge number of things to know about a dog beforehand, but these listed are most important.

A typical day

A typical day would be where we wake up and go for an early walk, letting your dog influence - but not lead - where we go and what we do. We would find somewhere with space that we can play and burn off some energy (if needed) before heading back to the house. There, we would relax and have some mental stimulation. Whatever your dog is into is what we’d do: fetch, sniffing, socializing, wrestling, running, or anything else!
