I have been around dogs all my life and have never loved an animal more than I have loved the dogs that I grew up with and interacted with. Big dogs are my favorite the bigger the better. My first canine playmate was a black lab greyhound named Sadie who loved nothing more than people, laying in the sun and running. My currently friendly fuzz ball is an Appenzeller Senehund; a Swiss herding dog named Lexi who can be complicated and very headstrong, however through firm but gentle training we both learned to understand each other and find balance. Lexi is now 8 and has begun to mellow as her joints have begun to get a little stiffer and as she is learning that she is not longer a puppy.
