Pet care experience
Well over a decade of dog sitting experience with dogs of all shapes and sizes. I've taken care of all manner of animals...from rescued squirrels to the neighbor's dogs. In all that time I have yet to care for a dog that was too much to handle. Any dogs under my care will enjoy frequent belly-rubs, ear-scratching, sweet-talk, and plenty of good ol fashioned TLC. High energy pets are no problem as I enjoy the outdoors, running, and staying fit. My home happens to be situated near many walking trails and dog parks. For those who love their dogs as much as me I will always provide multiple lines of contact to make it as easy as possible to receive updates whenever you like. Hope to hear from fellow animal lovers soon, -Hunter

We booked Hunter to stay overnight with our cat for 7 days while my husband and I were on vacation. It was our request that our our cat was fed twice a day and that Hunter would stay the night. During our vacation, Hunter did not stay at our house at all. He came over briefly in the mornings (and also skipped a couple of mornings.) We met with Hunter for a meet & greet and he said he had no issues. When we got home from vacation and learned that he hadn't stayed as we had agreed upon, he told us that he didn't feel comfortable staying in our house because it was too large. He did not communicate this issue with us at any point after we met & before we booked. And he did not let us know that he wasn't staying at the house while we were on vacation. This experience caused us stress and will continue to cause us stress during future vacations.
Hunter was very kind when he met our dog and seemed comfortable with him. However, when he kept him for a long weekend while we were away we had concerns. We put in the instructions that our puppy needed 3 visits per day, starting on the day we left. I'm not sure if there was a miscommunication or what, but our 9 month old puppy was alone for 11 hours the first day. We called and texted several times over the course of a couple of hours and were finally able to reach Hunter. He stated that he was occupied and would not be able to let Rico out until closer to 4 pm. As we agreed upon 3 visits per day, this would have missed 2 of them. We discussed and he agreed to head over around 2:45. We didn't receive many pictures from Hunter of our puppy (4 over the course of 4 days), and found that he wasn't very responsive through messaging. I'm not sure if something happened while we were gone, but whatever the case it brought us stress and worry about our pup. After the first day, we did receive messages throughout the day that Hunter had visited Rico. And he was accommodating when our flight was delayed by adding an extra visit. Overall I think Hunter did a satisfactory job with Rico, but less than such with communication.
Hunter did such a great job with our two pups while we were away for summer vacation. He checked in frequently with updates and our place was spotless when we returned. This was the first time we've hired a house/pet sitter and we were a bit nervous about leaving the pups in the house with someone new, but Hunter is a total pro. My only complaint is that he's already booked for our next trip!
I can not put into words how wonderful Hunter was with our dogs. This was my first experience with pet sitting, and I was very nervous to leave my dogs for such a long period of time, but Hunter really put my mind at ease. He was able to gain trust from my difficult dog who is weary of strangers, and by the end of the stay they seemed to be best buds! He took excellent care of all of my dogs, and the house. He was very prompt to respond to all messages and was very professional throughout the entire process. I can't recommend him enough!
