I have been surrounded by dogs and cats my entire life, fortunate enough to reside in a pet-friendly neighborhood. Growing up amidst various breeds of dogs and cats, I naturally became the go-to person for pet sitting, dog walking, and house sitting among friends, neighbors, and family. Upon moving out from my parents' house, I welcomed three cats into my own home. One of them was abused when he was younger, which resulted in several behavior issues, including aggression and attacks on people. He was my first cat, and it took me some time to learn how to help him. I conducted extensive research and sought assistance from behavior specialists. Through this experience, I gained valuable expertise in dealing with cats with behavioral issues, allowing me to assist other cats with similar challenges, especially those from shelters. Unfortunately, he recently passed away due to cancer. However, caring for him taught me how to administer both oral and topical medications effectively. During his illness, I dedicated myself to his care, which meant I was unable to travel for a year and a half. Now, I have decided to join Rover to extend my care to other people's pets facing similar challenges. I believe that even while caring for sick fur babies, it's crucial to prioritize self-care and balance.
