I love ALL ANIMALS
Pet care experience
I have been a dogsitter/catsitter on and off for years, and rigorously attend to all exercise, medical, food, and play related duties (emphasis on the play). I have experience with canines of all types: the well-trained and constant leash-tuggers, the young and old, the handbag-sized and the absolutely gargantuan. Regardless the category your dog falls under, I can guarantee a safe, mindful, and fun experience for them in the Brooklyn/Manhattan area! FIRST TIME ROVER USERS: use the code “HUDSOC32046” to get $20 off your first booking with me on Rover! I have extensive experience with cats, having lived with two requiring routine medical attention for the past three years; as well as small/exotics, having also owned a rabbit for the past four years. I know these and other non-canine animals to be very finicky with their preferences and body language. So, whether it is an animal I have experience with, or one I don't (lizards, birds, and so forth), I will listen carefully to your instructions and description of their habits so that I know the best way to care for your pet! I occasionally tag-team Rover bookings with my SO, as she also likes seeing all the animals I visit or bring by. We have two cats and a rabbit, so most of my pet care schedule centers around morning and evening meals. The cats are special needs.
Reviews
Hudson did a fantastic job with our extremely shy dog, and even took care of our budgie while he was there!
Hudson was wonderful by giving care attention while he was caring for our cat. He was communicate, reliable, and showed true care to our cat. I would recommend Hudson for your pet sitting needs!
Hudson was wonderful and sent us lots of pictures and updates throughout the evening. He took roux on plenty of walks and we came home to a very happy and sleepy pup! We will definitely be using Hudson again in the future and would recommend him highly!
Hudson is a wonderful and reliable sitter for my cats - I’ve never felt safer leaving them home alone. He is quick to respond, follows instructions diligently, and most importantly, treats animals with a lot of love and kindness. Our flight on the way back was super delayed and Hudson proactively updated our booking to make sure our cats were taken care of. Bonus: he gives great nicknames! We’ll forever be referring to them as the ‘shadow saiyans’. So happy we found him!

I have a cat and a rabbit, so I regularly deal with testy pet relations; I try to read the animals’ signals before doing anything that involves getting in their personal space! I also grew up with Sharpeis, and lived for a year with an Old English Sheepdog.

I am very flexible, but am currently preparing to study for the Bar Exam and to enter the professional legal field, so my schedule revolves around that. NOTE, POSSIBLE LARGE DOG CHARGES: As noted above, I am able and willing to walk big dogs, and have a good amount of experience doing so. However, if your larger breed is especially determined when it comes to pulling their leash, it is very tiring — as I’m sure you would already know! As such, I may charge extra depending on the dog’s size and strength/persistence in pulling (+$5 per walk). This applies to dogs 70 pounds or more, who have a tendency to pull the leash for most or all of their walk, and who do not listen well to commands/treats to slow down. If your large breed has a harness (which I recommend regardless, as it is easier to control them on walks with them, and more comfortable for them so they don’t continually choke themselves!), I will mitigate these charges.
