I always need to know general information, like when they eat, how much, and what the guidelines are about treats. It's helpful to know if they are picky eaters or eat extremely quickly and require an extra eye. Obviously, knowing where the vet is and having that phone number posted is important. I also want to know if you're planning to have your phone off or if you'd like regular updates and/or photos. I give you fair warning--when asked for photos, I will bombard you with photos of your pet, who I am certain is the greatest pet of all time.

I'm happy to take dogs for walks and then come back home to snuggle on the couch or toss a ball. It's really up to the dog and his/her energy! I love finding a cat's favorite toy, whether that's a laser pointer or a string on a stick. I respect cats who prefer to stay away, but there are few things more wonderful than a purring cat on your lap. Every animal is different. They may need some time to warm up to new people, so I let them figure out their feelings and then cater to that.
