Pet care experience
I am accustomed to taking care of puppies, adult dogs, and senior dogs. I’ve had German Shepherds my whole life and I’ve been personally involved in caring for, training, socializing, and raising dogs from puppyhood.
Reviews
I want to thank Hope for making me much more comfortable leaving my dog at home for long stretches. She came in to let him out of his crate while I was traveling and my husband was working long days. We only asked her to let him outside and give him some water, but she went above and beyond. She took him for rides with her (after checking with us first) and brought him treats. She also spent time with our cats too! And she took great pictures and videos of all three of our animals. It was clear from the first moment that she really cares about animals. I can't recommend her enough!
Hope was great with the dog (a 45lb rotweiler mix), and was super communicative. It was really easy to work with Hope, and there is no doubt that she knows how to handle dogs really well. I was so happy with Hope that I booked her for 5 consecutive days. The 5 stars are well-deserved!
Hope was awesome! So patient with our skittish pup and so responsive. Thank you!
Hope did an outstanding job with Tanner. She was thorough with communication and I could tell that Tanner was well-loved. She also snapped some great pictures of him! Tanner even said he wants Hope to visit again! ?

My dogs are always leashed in public. At home they are able to have potty breaks in the side yard while supervised. We don’t have a fully fenced yard yet. I keep a watchful eye on my dogs but also look out for others that may be around. We don’t approach dogs that we don’t know. And I always meet other dogs on my own before they can play together to get a feel for their temperament, play drive, and compatibility. The same practices apply to your dog. Safety is a top priority!
Information Hope G. would like to know about your pet
I’d like to know a little bit about your dog before we meet for the first time. This is a great opportunity to find out about their strengths and weaknesses, their favorite treats and places to go. My preference would be dogs with low-medium energy and a medium-high play drive and who know some basic training. We can always brush up on the basics together. I am not well suited for a high drive dog who is expected to get all of their energy out during our time together. I can lightly jog a mile but not run very well. If we’re just supplementing some activity time or just getting some time outside of the house then we should be just fine.
A typical day
One of my favorite places to walk is the North Gate Park Trail. Sometimes we will start at the tennis courts behind the hospital. There’s a large soccer field there that’s open or we can run and play on a long lead. Then we can walk through the forest and enjoy nature. The trail leads to a dog park, where if it’s empty, we will pop in and have leash-free playtime. Treats are provided along the way as rewards for good behavior and as a way to build a connection together. Sometimes you live in an area where there are no good places to walk. No worries, we can drive to the nearest park and have our walk there.
