Pet care experience
Growing up, my family always had at least one dog and that trend has continued into my adult life. I currently am the proud parent to two very bubbly and energetic dogs. I learned from an early age what it meant to be a responsible pet owner and how to properly care for animals. I was often asked to care for pets in the neighborhood or those belonging to family and friends. I love making new fur buddies everywhere I go and am excited to meet yours! I now have many years of personal and professional experience caring for other people's pets, including reactive dogs, senior pets, and animals with special/medical needs (FIV, diabetes, thyroid conditions, etc.). I'm comfortable with administering medication, continuing training, and recording/managing reactive behaviors while your pets are in my care.

Hope was great! My dog loved her, which is always a great sign. She gave several updates and it seems things just generally went well the whole time (during the house sitting). She left the place as clean as I left it, even doing the laundry. It's a lot to ask to leave someone with your dog and your apartment for an extended period of time, and I feel like I can trust Hope, and I intend to use her services again in the future.
Hope was able to quickly win over our sometimes shy cat during a long weekend out of town. She was easily able to administer our cat’s medication and was a total pro the whole time.
Hope was great for my senior pups. Very considerate and mindful of their meds. Even going the extra mile to pickup some dogfood. Took great care of the place as well.

Please let me know if your pet has any medical conditions or special needs that I will need to address. Additionally, it would be best for me to know ahead of time if there are any particular behaviors I can expect or should be aware of. And finally, if there are odd quirks or habits that your pets have, I would love to know! Animals all have such different personalities and mannerisms so this helps me better understand them. The more I know about your pet, the better experience I can provide for them.
A typical day
I'm sure my dogs are not alone in their love of hiking and long walks! They love Olympic Sculpture Park and the Arboretum (especially in the spring time). I can also work on brain puzzles or new tricks if your dog prefers more mental stimulation. If your pet has a favorite activity, I would love to incorporate that into our time together!

Availability
My work scheduled outside of Rover is very flexible and leaves ample time for me to spend with your furry loved ones! However, there are times when I need to be present at my office and for that reason, I am only able to accept house-sitting requests for pets that can be left alone for 4 hours. While I can sometimes make exceptions for short or weekend-only stays, I cannot guarantee availability for those requests.
